What is a personalized storybook?
At Unilake Kids, we take your child's photos and turn them into the actual hero of their very own semi-realistic 3D adventure. Instead of just reading a generic story, they get to see themselves magically illustrated on the pages of their personal book.
What age group are Unilake books for?
Our stories are generally perfect for kids between 2 and 10 years old, with each book crafted for a specific age group like 0-2, 5 to 7 and so on. Select your kid's age from the drop-down menu in our books section.
How does personalization work?
You simply upload a clear photo of your child on Unilakekids.com. Our automated illustration technology learns your child's features to create a beautiful, custom character that looks just like them, placing them right into the heart of the storybook.
What photos do I need to upload?
We need clear, well-lit photo of your child's face looking directly at the camera. Pictures without heavy shadows, filters, face obstruction, or other people in the frame work best so our system can capture their exact features. Please check our photo upload guidelines with visuals in our photo upload section.
How many photos are required?
We need only 1 good photo to get the most accurate and magical result for your book. You can also re-upload another book if the preview images are not to your liking.
Can I re-generate a particular comic page?
Yes, you get few trials to re-generate the face on a comic page. The new generated face will have a slight variation in composition and expression. If you are still not satisfied, you can always re-upload another photo.
What happens to my child's photos?
Your photos are used only to generate the storybook character. We value your family's privacy, and the original photos are never shared publicly or used for any other purpose and will be automatically deleted after 7 days.
Can I preview the book before purchasing?
Yes! We want you to love it. We provide a digital preview on Unilakekids.com so you can see how the magic unfolds before you place your order.
How many pages are included in the preview?
You'll get a generous sneak peek, typically the first few 5-6 pages of the adventure, to give you a great feel for the storyline and the vibrant artwork.
Can I make changes before making the payment?
If you feel the preview didn't capture your child quite right, it's best to try uploading a different picture to generate a new preview before payment. Once the book is Sent to Print, changes cannot be made.
What size and paper are used?
We use high-quality, thick, glossy paper that makes the cinematic illustrations pop beautifully. The books are sized perfectly for little hands to hold (mostly 8 x 11 inches) and read comfortably.
How long does delivery take?
We ship all across India using reliable automated logistics partners like Shiprocket. Usually, it takes about 2 business days for the book to be custom-printed and another 4 to 7 business days to be delivered straight to your doorstep, depending on your location.
Can I track my order?
Absolutely. Once your Unilake Kids book is dispatched, we'll share a tracking link via SMS and email so you can follow its journey to your home.
What if my book arrives damaged?
Don't worry at all! Just send us a video of the unboxing of the damaged book within 48 hours of delivery, and we'll happily accept the book return and either issue a refund or a fresh copy as per your wish.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major Indian payment methods, including UPI (like PhonePe, GPay), credit cards, debit cards, and net banking using Razorpay as our payment gateway.
Can I cancel my order?
Because each book is 100% custom-made and our automated rendering process starts almost immediately after you order, cancellations are only possible if your book has not been sent to print. Contact our support team to check on this.
What is the refund policy?
Since the books are personalised specifically for your child, we cannot accept general returns or offer refunds for a change of mind. However, if there is a printing defect or transit damage, we will replace it for free.
What happens if there is an error in personalization?
We request you to properly check for Kid's name spelling and glance through each page of the book before click " Sent to Print " button. If you are having trouble with any changes, just reach out to our support team. We will be happy to sort it out for you.
How is my child's information protected?
We take data privacy very seriously. All photos and details uploaded to Unilakekids.com are processed securely on our cloud servers and are only used for creating your specific book. The kid's photo and details will be automatically deleted after 7 days.
Who can access the photos I upload?
Only our automated rendering system and our core internal team (for strictly required quality checks) can access them. No third parties have access to your private photos.
How long are my child's photos and information retained?
We only keep them for a short 7-day window after your book is delivered, just in case you need a quick reprint. After that, they are automatically cleared from our servers.
Can I request deletion of my child's photos and personal information?
Yes, absolutely. If you want them removed immediately after your order is complete, just drop us a message, and we will permanently delete your child's data from our systems.
Is Unilake safe for children?
Yes! The physical books are made with child-safe materials, and the content is completely kid-friendly.
Is the content of the story appropriate for children?
100%. Our stories are crafted to be wholesome, positive, magical, and entirely safe for young minds.
